About Us

The Management Committee consists of two Co-operative members elected by members of the Co-operative to take responsibility on their behalf for management decisions relating to the Centre. We always have passionate dreams about owning our own childcare one day and we have been searching for a long time until we came upon these beautiful childcare centres in the dynamic suburbs of Pakenham and Moolap. Since then, we have put in a tremendous amount of effort in building up the environment and making these centres where families can feel safe and secure to bring their precious children to.

Pakenham Twinklekids Early Learning Centre

Carly Webster

Centre Director

Hi, my name is Carly and I am the Centre Director at Pakenham Twinklekids Early Learning Centre. I have been working at this service since 2018. I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Throughout my time in this sector, I have worked as a Lead Educator, Assistant Director and Educational Leader. I believe that this gives me a range of knowledge of the different roles that are required throughout the service. I am also passionate about supporting children with additional needs and challenging behaviours. As a team we work with families and external agencies to come up with different strategies to support both the child and their family. I am proud to lead the team of Early Childhood Educators here at Pakenham Twinklekids where we pride ourselves on building relationships with the children and their families. I am passionate about leading a centre that provides quality care and works to assist children to reach their developmental milestones and learning. We work to collaborate with families through open and respectful communication to ensure that the children in our care are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Rianna Rapinett

Assistant Centre Director
Hi, my name is Rianna, and I am the Assistant Director here at Pakenham Twinklekids. I have been working in the early childhood industry since 2015 and hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Over my time in the industry, I have worked as an assistant educator, a room leader, and in management. Through these roles, I have built my knowledge and confidence to where I am today.
During my career, I have developed strong relationships with families and children. I believe this is a fundamental part of helping families feel secure when they entrust their children to our care. As a service, we collaborate closely with families and children to provide the best support and guidance as needed.

At Pakenham Twinklekids, our team works closely together, supports families, and builds strong relationships with everyone involved. I am delighted to lead a team that supports and guides children to their fullest potential.

Hi, my name is Tarrah, I am the Centre Director here at Bellarine Twinklekids Early Learning Centre. I have been at Bellarine Twinklekids since 2016 and in my time here I have worked in many roles within the Service. I am very proud to be a part of such an amazing team of educators that share my passion in providing our children with the best possible start in life! Over my time here, I’ve had the chance to build many positive relationships with children and their families while working together to construct a positive and nurturing environment for each individual child. I believe there is no better feeling than knowing that you are playing such an important part in a child’s development while watching them grow and reach milestones within their life. In my role and also in everyday life, I strive to be someone that our Children, Families and Co-educators can turn to at any time.

Our Educators

Twinklekids Early Learning Centre has been successful in creating a positive workplace culture which reflects a high level of respect and regard for the skills and professionalism of educators. As a result, children benefit from a highly skilled, qualified, motivated and consistent team of educators comprising both full-time and part-time educators and including permanent staff who are rostered to cover planned and unplanned educator absences (thus maintaining consistency for children, educators and families and minimising the use of agency staff).

Ongoing professional learning is encouraged and supported, resulting in educator qualifications well in excess of those required under the National Quality Standards.

 

There is a culture of mutual, professional respect and many opportunities for individual educators to take on leadership roles. For example, as well as room leader positions, individual educators have taken the lead role as OH&S representative, sustainability leader, representatives at professional forums and facilitators of specific learning experiences.

Childcare Chef

The Centre employs a part-time Chef who plans and prepares healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. In addition, the Chef plans and displays the weekly menu, is responsible for purchasing all food supplies and works closely with the Centre Director to ensure that food safety standards are consistently maintained. The Chef is recognised as a member of the Centre’s educator team and, in collaboration with others, ensures that children have many opportunities to be actively involved in aspects of menu planning, shopping and meal preparation.

Our weekly programs are enriched by parental input, which we actively seek and incorporate. Using Storypark, an innovative online platform, we record individual and group observations for each child. This platform also facilitates seamless communication between parents and educators, ensuring a cohesive approach to each child’s development.

Our centre boasts a variety of natural resources and expansive play spaces, both indoors and outdoors. We offer comprehensive indoor and outdoor programs throughout the day, designed to foster exploration and growth in a safe and stimulating environment.

Incursions and Excursions

We enhance our curriculum with a variety of incursions and excursions:
  • Bush Kinder: Our kinder children explore the local community and natural environment weekly, fostering a deep connection with nature.
  • Happy Feet: This weekly music program brings educational musical experiences directly to our centre, enriching our children’s cultural and artistic development.
  • Swimming Lessons: Offered at a nearby swimming centre, children travel by our centre bus for weekly swimming lessons, promoting physical fitness and water safety. (At Pakenham Twinklekids ELC only)
