Philosophy

We promise to provide a nurturing prepared home-like environment.

Twinklekids

The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.

Children’s learning and development is encouraged, supported and documented daily and their curiosity and creative expression is also highly valued – as you will see from the moment you walk through our doors. At Twinklekids Early Learning Centre, our children learn and grow in an environment of warmth, nurturing and genuinely affectionate care.

Our excellent and dedicated educators are our biggest asset. We support our educator team with over-award pay and conditions, many opportunities for ongoing professional learning and flexible working arrangements.

We value parents’ contributions and support parenting with information, advice, resources and the opportunity to establish new networks. There are many ways that parents can become involved in the social and organisational aspects of our Centre and it is especially wonderful to note the many friendships, between children and families, which have endured long after children have left the Centre.

Together, children, parents and educators make up the community of Twinklekids Early Learning Centre.

Statement of commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children and the protection of children from harm

At our service, the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of children and young people is our highest priority.

We are committed to:

  • Listening to children and encouraging their participation in decisions that affect them
  • Preventing child abuse and identifying risks early through regular staff training

Everyone—children, families, staff, volunteers, students, and visitors—is expected to follow our Codes of Conduct and service policies to help keep our community safe.

Together, we build a culture of safety, equity, and respect—where children are protected, heard, and celebrated.

Our Philosophy

The Child’s interest is our main goal when providing an educational program which includes our environments which are set up to engage and develop the children’s sense of exploration, imagination and creativity delivering a diverse learning experience.

We believe in developing strong partnerships with the families and the greater community, children and families are encouraged to participate in the centre and share in the decision making.

We believe in providing a safe and belonging environment which includes respect for culture, knowledge, identity, and experiences for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Educators strive to be actively engaged in the child’s learning using a balance of intentional teaching and child-based learning to scaffold their development. Scaffolded Practice guides learning experiences to expand their young minds to pursue further developmental challenges towards the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes.

We believe in creating a home like environment that is nurturing, warm and developmentally engaging for all children whilst supporting and respecting the role of parents and families. Families are encouraged to share their culture, language and home experiences with the Centre.

We constantly reflect on our practice as individuals and as a community of educators to facilitate our learning in the best way. We encourage positive and successful transitions and teach children to explore their identity to become confident and successful learners.

We endeavour to have a high standard of health and safety at the service. Meals and menus are provided that are fresh, nutritional, and well balanced in accordance with Nutrition Australia. We ensure high quality safe food handling and hygiene practices are observed and always implemented.
